VOSGES

The mountain between lakes and forests

As if it was a ‘Petit Canada’, the Hautes-Vosges offer magnificent rolling landscapes, surrounded by the lakes and forests that make up this beautiful region. At the end of winter, the white and the snow that used to cover the Vosges summits give way to spring colors. Nature awakens: walks in the forests, near lakes and peat bogs or on the route des Crêtes to admire the famous Blue Line of the Vosges and, in good weather, the Alps, are once again accessible. In April, millions of daffodils adorn the fields and hillsides of the villages, especially those of the Vallée des Lacs, in beautiful yellow and gold colors. The Daffodil Festival in Gérardmer (next edition on April 16, 2023) is the perfect time to come and admire this spectacle.

The Vosges mountains guarantee you a great bath in authentic and preserved nature in the heart of a fabulous playground. On foot, by bike, mountain bike, electric scooter, on the ground or in the air... the most diverse activities are offered for an active stay in a welcoming mountain with a human dimension. It is a place for all kinds of discoveries, whether with family or friends, at the bend of a farm inn where you can taste tofailles and smoked food or the brimbelle pie, or during a visit to a local know-how in a Confiserie de Bonbons des Vosges (Vosges candy factory) or to discover a tradition such as the textile museum, which will make for a truly invigorating getaway!
