8 Mountain Events Not To Be Missed This Spring

Singing, skiing, dancing, having fun...here’s to spring in the mountains. At this time of year, there’s a packed program of events with plenty on offer.

  • ‘Rock The Pistes’ in Morzine (12-18 March 2022)

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Rock The Pistes festival returns to the Portes du Soleil for more one-off gigs and evening après-ski in their resorts. In total, more than 35 concerts are on offer with Trust, Gaëtan Roussel or IAM headlining, and the mountains as the support act. An event not to be missed for ski and music lovers!

  • ‘Gliss and Fun’ in Super-Besse (25-26 March 2023)

There’s something for everyone in this party weekend in Super-Besse: try ski touring to the top of the resort as quickly as possible, or a derby (downhill race) to the bottom of the resort plus plenty of other activities.

  • ‘Festival des P'tites Canailles en Moufles’ in Saint François Longchamp (08-10 April 2023)

It's hard to be more colourful than a spring festival entirely dedicated to children! Around Groupy, the mascot of the resort, your children will live to the rhythm of animations and workshops.

  • The ‘Folie Douce Festival’ in Courchevel (April 2023 - Dates TBC)

Celebrate the end of the season at the bottom of the lifts in Courchevel and dance to the latest tunes, thanks to the Folie Douce. With friends or family, the event is free for lovers of ‘sweet madness’!

  • ‘France Bleu Live Festival’ in Les 2 Alpes (18-20 April 2023)

For its third edition, the France Bleu Live Festival comes to Les 2 Alpes. For four days, the resort will move to the rhythm of these perfect performers: Juliette Armanet, Louise Attaque and Jennifer. It’s a full hour on offer every evening and it's free!

  • ‘Jonquilles en Fête’ in Gérardmer (16 April 2023)

What better way to celebrate spring, than with flowers? In Gérardmer in the Vosges, look out for events themed around this most famous yellow flower, ahead of 50th ‘Fête des Jonquilles’ Festival already scheduled for 2023.

  • Festival International du Film d’Aventure et Découverte in Val d'Isère (17-20 April 2023)

The festival is one to attend for all fans of a beautifully crafted shot and adventure lovers. Head to Val d'Isère for this event, which includes stunning footage from around the world of kayaking, hiking, mountaineering and cycling. In total, there are 11 films that will each be introduced by travel writer Sylvain Tesson.

  • ‘La Grande Dernière’ in Val Thorens (06-08 May 2023)

La Grande Dernière. It’s a combination of sport and parties that includes competitions, waterslides, DJ sets, skiing and freebies and will ensure that spring goes out in style!
